My iPhone won’t charge

Perhaps you are thinking to change your iPhone but wait a second this article will help in knowing the reason and complete solution why you iPhone is not charging.

Before starting experimenting, you should know what happens when you plug you phone into the socket or the computer USB socket or any other charging Hub. You never cord power directly to the battery. Firstly you connect your charger to 30 pin connector port. The logical board decide whether to allow you charge your battery or not.
Most of the time the reason that iPhone not charging is software issue than hardware defects. So let’s start with the software

The Software

Restart your iPhone and keep trying to charge it again and again most of time the trick works.
Check if it’s not just a simple software crash.  Restart your iPhone and try charging it again.  Most of the times, it does the trick. If still the problem exist try hard resetting your Phone. Press power and home button for half minute. Release the button once Apple logo appears on the screen of your device. Let your device to reboot once the phone is rebooted plug it into the power source and it will definitely start charging.

The Hardware

We need to divide hardware into three parts to solve the problems.
The first thing you need to check is the USB cable of your charger. Sometime damaged charging cables prevent you from charging your device. If your cable is facing same situation time to get a new cable. People mostly buy 3rd party charging cables as they are cheaper than the original iPhone cables. But these cables damages cells inside the battery. If there are no sign of damaged USB cable still give try to another cable. If you phone start charging then something is wrong with your old cable. If the first part of hardware section fails we have to move to other solution.
One thing is clear cable is not creating any kind of issue, it’s time check your charging port of your handset. Most of times due to dust accumulate in the port and interrupts in charging the phone. The dust is not allowing to complete the electronic circuit the simple solution for this problem is take Q-Tip or any toothbrush and try to remove any dust in the charging port.
Lastly, the third part of hardware that you need to inspect is your wall socket or your power source.  Remember, it’s the software that decides whether to allow a battery to charge or not.  If there are power fluctuations iPhone software may not allow you to charge as a protective measure.
If you’re still unable to charge your iPhone, it’s perhaps time to take it to an expert.
